- sam is someone the group often gravitates towards as a friendly person, having a positive relationship with most if not all of the members of their friend group.

- able to joke and make friends with anyone, sam is one of the more charming in the gang.

- one of her biggest fears is the supernatural, especially after her experiences with the wendigos. however, her bravery has allowed her to push past this in order to save herself and the others.

- whether it's war between countries or her friends, sam hates any type of conflict.

- despite this hatred, sam easily bends to other people who are more strong-willed than her, often giving into them if they push her enough.

- even in stressful situations, sam is able to make jokes and mess around.

- sometimes, even when she knows that something is wrong, sam allows things to happen that perhaps she shouldn't - such as allowing the gang to pull their "prank" on hannah despite how awful it was.

APPEARANCE

Sam has long blonde hair, usually tied up in a bun at the back of her head with locks framing her face. She has hazel eyes and often wears dark lipstic, though seemingly no other makeup. She is 5'0", and has an athletic build, enjoying wallclimbing and exercise in her spare time.

pacifist sam is warm, compassionate and has a good relationship with all members of the group. she views the return to the lodge as a chance to catch up with her friends and put the tragic events of the past behind her. despite her aversion to violence, sam does not scare easily and is level-headed under pressure.

• A year after Hannah and Beth disappear from the Washington Lodge, Josh Washington invites them all back as a get-together. Sam has positive feelings about this and is hopeful that it will go well and be fun for them all.
• After they all settle in, Sam runs a bath, but there's no hot water. She goes into the basement with Josh and they sort the boiler out, only to be scared by Chris in a creepy costume.
• While Josh, Chris and Ashley all participate in using ouijia board, Sam declines (no thanks!) and instead chooses to go in the bath, which is how she ends up in a towel for the first half of the game.
• While "The Psycho" is going after her friends, Sam is having a great time in the bath. Her candles suddenly go out, and she leaves to investigate, thinking her friends are messing around with her. Instead, she's chased by The Psycho.
• Sam meets up with Mike, who's been absolutely through it. Sam opens the door to let Mike in, gets changed into some actual clothes thanks to a conveniently placed backpack which has her athletic outfit in it, and they then set out together to find their other friends.
• Spoiler! They find out who the Psycho is. They tie him up. They're not impressed. They believe that Jess is dead, since Mike lost her in the cabin/mines.
• The Stranger arrives and warns them that the mountain is filled with Wendigo, monsters formed from cannibals.
• Sam defends Emily who had been bitten by a Wendigo until they find out a bite doesn't do anything.
• Chris, Ashley, and Sam venture into the mines once Mike returns from the nearby Sanitorium. The group almost reaches the Sanatorium, when they find most of the scaffolding leading up destroyed, blocking their path. The other survivors tell Sam that they are unable to climb the rock wall, so Sam proceeds by herself after telling them to head back to the lodge.
• Sam finds Mike holding off a Wendigo. Sam will use whatever weapon she has available (a pipe or a shovel, depending on which route you take) to beat the Wendigo off of Mike.
• Mike and Sam begin to look for Josh in order to retrieve the cable car keys that he had stolen. She and Mike can discover the truth about what happened to Hannah and Beth one year ago. They find a grave with Beth's watch in it. As Sam and Mike are wading through the underground lake, Sam can choose to not follow Mike and instead go left out of the water, which leads to them finding the Scrawled Journal. They find out after the fall, Hannah later dug Beth up to eat her body when she was starving.
• Whilst looking through the mines, they find Josh talking to himself. Sam tries to tell Josh what happened to his sisters, but Mike cuts her off. Since Josh was not physically or mentally prepared to climb out of the mines, Sam climbs out by herself while Mike escorts Josh through the sewers.
• Sam climbs out of the mines and runs back to the lodge. When she gets to the lodge, she pleads with the other survivors to let her back in, but gets no response. Mike, having just escaped from the mines as well, appears behind her and tells her that they need to get into the lodge, causing Sam to break through the window with a rock.
• They travel to the basement to see if there are any survivors and are instantly greeted by whoever is left alive (possibly Ashley, Emily, Chris). They flee upstairs from the Wendigos.
• Sam runs upstairs and finds everyone else frozen in their tracks. She looks up and sees that a multitude of Wendigos, including Hannah, have broken into the lodge. The Wendigos begin to fight each other, where one is thrown into a pipe, causing a gas leak.
• Mike and Sam notice the leak and non-verbally coordinate a plan to incinerate the lodge by switching on a broken light bulb to ignite the gas. After Mike breaks the lightbulb, any remaining survivors will flee the lodge one at a time, with Mike being the last person to escape before Sam. She turns on the light switch and the lodge explodes, (hopefully) killing the Wendigos.
• In the Remake post-credit scene, some years later, Sam wakes up at 6am to her alarm ringing. When she swipes to turn the alarm off, she finds blood on her screen. A scar on her arm has opened up and is bleeding, and even when she tries to wipe it away, it keeps bleeding. The screen flashes red - imitating the sight of a Wendigo - and the voice of Dr Hill (Josh's therapist and cruel hallucination) calls out her name.

Sam doesn't have any special abilities in particular. The main thing that is shown would be that she is an adept climber, going up multiple walls in to get into and out of the mines.
